Ph.D. Program in Oceanography and Global Change at the Canary Islands, Spain
Introduction to Matlab and to R
Year: 1st
Modality: Face-to-face
Hours: 90
Description:
On the one hand, during the first block of this course, students will be taught to use Matlab, a tool that allows us to efficiently manage oceanographic data. With this program, widely used in oceanography, students will manage and represent data in the most suitable way. It also provides an opportunity to introduce students to the world of programming of real models. On the other hand, during the second block of this course, students will be taught R language, as the statistical treatment of the data is an essential issue that every researcher should know. This block provides the knowledge for programming in R and use this knowledge to apply existing models and statistical tools or create your own statistical model. In addition, this tool provides the graphical representation of the statistical treatment effectively.
Contents of block I:
- Introduction to Matlab
